On May 28, 2024, I had the honor of being a guest lecturer at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The session took place within the Faculty of Economics, where I was invited to share insights on “Development of Digital Products and Services.” This experience provided an excellent platform to discuss the fast-evolving landscape of digital innovation with students eager to explore this dynamic field.
The Evolution of Digital Products and Services
I began the lecture by outlining the rapid changes in the digital era and how they have redefined the way businesses operate and serve their customers. Digital products and services, ranging from mobile apps to cloud-based platforms, are now integral to the daily lives of consumers and businesses alike.
During this segment, I emphasized three key factors driving the development of digital products:
- User-Centered Design: How understanding user needs and behaviors is at the core of successful digital products.
- Agile Development: The importance of iterative processes and adaptability in creating solutions that meet market demands.
- Technology Integration: The role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and IoT in enhancing digital services.
Sharing Real-World Experiences
To make the session more relatable, I shared examples from my professional journey in developing digital products. These included challenges faced, lessons learned, and success stories from projects that brought significant impact to users and businesses. I also discussed how collaboration between teams—from design to development—is crucial in delivering products that align with business goals and user expectations.
Being a guest lecturer at Universitas Negeri Jakarta was an enriching experience. It reminded me of the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences to inspire the next generation of innovators. I hope my session not only provided valuable insights into the development of digital products and services but also motivated students to pursue their interests in this exciting field.
As digital transformation continues to shape industries, I look forward to engaging in more opportunities like this, fostering collaboration between academia and the professional world to drive innovation and growth.
